With only one playoff game on Saturday’s schedule, much attention in the hours before the Denver Nuggets’ Game 7 victory over the visiting LA Clippers was soaked up by Friday night footage circulating of Dončić leaving a dinner with Lakers GM Rob Pelinka and coach JJ Redick at Craig’s in West Hollywood. The summit over a meal took place just two nights after their season ended with a Game 5 home loss to Minnesota. Marc Stein on LeBron James: He’s not going to be easy to trade at 52 million. I don’t see him leaving 52 million on the table and just taking a much lower salary to go to the team of his choice. It’s too early in the game really to give you a clear-cut answer on it, but I would say at this point it is more likely than not that Luka and LeBron will be back together as Lakers next season. -via YouTube / May 3, 2025
