Michael Porter took a pain injection for Game 7

Jake Shapiro: MPJ tells me he took a pain injection for Game 7, felt like he needed to do it with everything on the line. He didn’t take one for a few games in this series because of swelling at the injection site. He sprained his should with a fall late during Game 2.

More on this storyline

Jamal Murray dropped his highest scoring game of this year’s playoffs. Russell Westbrook returned with a bang. Even Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., and Christian Braun delivered big-time. Back at home, Denver’s other players not named Nikola Jokic finally raised their level of play in a critical stretch of the series. Murray uncorked 43 points built on eight threes, taking command of a strong 131-115 Nuggets showing over the Clippers in Game 5 to seize a 3-2 lead, Wednesday (PH time), April 30. -via NBA.ph / April 30, 2025
On May 30, 2024, Drew Gordon died in a two-vehicle injury crash in Clackamas County, Oregon, at the age of 33. He was survived by Angela, their sons Zayne (5) and Brody (2), and his eldest Jayden (12). “When that first happened, I was there with [Aaron],” Nuggets teammate Michael Porter Jr. told Andscape. “It was me and him and KCP [ex-Nuggets teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope] ended up pulling up. We sat there, digested it, talked. And we were there for him. He’s held it down since the day it happened. That was his big brother.” -via Andscape / April 29, 2025
